Awaiting starter's orders in Bedford

Eastern Bloco IS NOT a DeeP Music project. It is entirely independent, but information is included here for the benefit of members of the King's Lynn Community Samba Band and any other interested party who may be surfing on through.

Performance dates for East Anglia's big samba bateria are listed below. The band is drawn from members of invited samba bands within the region. Rehearsals take place at central locations and within each bateria. The bands taking part in EB performances include the King's Lynn Community Samba Band playing alongside sambistas from the samba bands in Bedford, Cambridge, Corby, Ely, Hitchin, Luton, Northampton, Peterborough. This year Bloco performers will be reverting to the pink and purple outfits (plus white trousers) in the picture above.

13th April - mid-day-4pm, Peterborough - St Thomas More School, Park Lane, Eastfield PE1 5JW

Saturday, 12th July 2008 Eastern Bloco performance, Bedford River Festival
Saturday, 26th July, 2008 part-Eastern Bloco performance, Littleport
Sunday, 14th September 2008, part-Eastern Bloco performance, Althorp 10k Run
